In Sanskrit, the word “Arya” means “noble.” From this root, the Iranian people refer to themselves as Aryans and thus, originated the name of the country, Iran. Throughout the ages, the Iranian people have lived up to their name through their dignified manner and gracious deeds. The Persian civilization is considered by many to be the first human civilization. This resourceful culture has brought forth many inventions throughout history as well as in the present time to benefit humanity such as the world’s first calendar, public postal system, wheel, vertical windmill, cuneiform, and artificial lung, among many others.

During a videoconference with Supreme Master Television staff on August 29, 2009, Supreme Master Ching Hai had shared the following regarding the ingenuity of the Iranian people:

There are many extraordinary inventions that have happened in Iran.

Recently I heard they even are making artificial lungs right now. I had not heard that before. Heart, we heard about it, but lung is difficult. Now they are making it already in Iran. Many other extraordinary inventions came from Iran, and I'm very, very proud of your people. They are so smart.

Millions of people throughout the world are afflicted with eye disorders. Especially in less developed countries, people who have impaired vision often accept a reduced quality of life.

For future generations, why should we have retina problems? We can eradicate the retina problems easily. Why should we have so many sightless people in the world?

Through his noble-minded initiative, Mr. Majid Dashti hopes to restore the miracle of sight to these millions of eye patients.

With this device, without any surgery, and without using any drugs, without any contact with the eye or the face of the patient, indirectly we can cure many eye disorders. We achieve such cures without any side effects or pain and without any recurrence.

Mr. Dashti is a mechanical engineer from Yazd, Iran who is the inventor of a device known as the Diamond Eye. After 11 years of steady work, Mr. Dashti completed the Diamond Eye which uses electromagnetic waves to effectively treat a number of eye conditions without surgery or harmful side effects.

This device, once set up, can be used for patients of any age from 2 years old to older people with great ease. There is no pain involved, and there are no side effects. We do not use any drugs. The whole procedure is very quick; it usually takes about 10 minutes, maximum 30 minutes.

According to its inventor, the Diamond Eye successfully treats many eye conditions including lazy eye, nearsightedness, farsightedness, hypertropia or misalignment of the eyes, nyctalopia or night blindness, retina problems, cataracts, and glaucoma.

The operation of the device is such that once the patient sits in front of the device, the device sends many commands in the form of electromagnetic waves, to the eye of the patient. From the eye, these commands in the form of electric messages reach the brain. The brain is forced to reflect back the commands to the eye, and during the treatment, the eye problem is rectified and vision is improved.

A common concern is how the eye, if already damaged, would be able to receive the electromagnetic waves to send to the brain. Fortunately, Mr. Dashti has a solution for this.

Before we treat them, we have to rebuild the retina that, before this invention, so far in the world, there has been no treatment for. We treat such patients by employing the stem cells in the retina. The waves, over time, will rebuild the stem cells in the retina. And thus, we can treat the retina, and this has been verified.

Through clinical trials, Mr. Dashti’s invention has proven to restore vision in many eye patients.

Before using the device, my right eye couldn’t clearly see the lines 8/10, 9/10 and 10/10 of the Snellen's charts. But after a few sessions using the Diamond Eye device, I can see very clearly, up to line 10/10.

I have some records available from different patients, who have been treated with this device, as follows. A 9-year-old boy with amblyopia (lazy eye), before, his visual acuity was 6/10, but now it has become 10/10. We can say that his visual acuity has been completely restored, and now is 100%.

Since our first program about Mr. Dashti’s Diamond Eye device, Mr. Dashti has had many more successful cases. One of these patients happened to be a Supreme Master Television viewer from Slovakia.

I was doing research about amblyopia, sometimes called lazy eye. I couldn’t find many sources, because everywhere the scientists or doctors were claiming there is no successful treatment for this condition. But last year, I was watching Supreme Master Television, and there was mentioned that Iran invented a special device called Diamond Eye, which can treat every eye disease. This very surprised me, because advanced treatment can treat not only amblyopia, but also far-sightedness and nearsightedness.

So therefore I decided to come to Iran and I really felt improvement in amblyopia and also my dioptre is less now. Mr. Dashti has high hopes for the Diamond Eye’s future capability to treat an increasing number of eye disorders.

Currently, we can treat near-sightedness, up to 3 dioptre. But in the near future, we have plans, with further developments, we will be able to easily treat higher dioptre, and even astigmatism, without the need for surgery and drugs.

In addition, Mr. Dashti received a crystal plaque from Supreme Master Ching Hai and gifts, which included Supreme Master Ching Hai’s DVDs, CDs, and books, including the #1 international best-seller “The Noble Wilds.”

In the Name of God, The Most Compassionate and Merciful. First of all, I would like to thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for this award and also for her Association members who have presented all the gifts. Secondly, I’d like to take some of your time and give you a brief description of this invention. It took 10 years until I built the Diamond Eye device, with which we can treat many eye conditions such as near-sightedness, far-sightedness, glaucoma, and even amblyopia (lazy eye), and nyctalopia (night blindness) without the need for surgery nor any drugs, and without direct contact with the eye.

What do you see as being the future for your invention?

My prediction is that in the future, I will be willing to work with organizations who work in the medical field, so that we can mass produce this device to be used all over the world. We will be able to offer this at a reasonable price for all medical centers around the world to use this device.

Iran is the first country that has proudly presented this invention to the world. Can you please tell us why Iran has generally had an active role in this area?

The reason was that according to my research throughout these years, there was no cure for such conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), nyctalopia (night blindness), and short sightedness. This motivated me to follow up on this and do further research. Incidentally, they helped me a lot at Shiraz (University), where with the help of doctors we conducted trials on many patients. And this helped me to further continue my research, so that I could make more progress.

Mr. Dashti envisions the Diamond Eye to be the great panacea for many of the ocular problems plaguing people today.

It has to be said that this device could potentially help many people all over the world. And I am very pleased that an important personage noted the potential in my invention and enabled me to present this innovation to people all over the world. I am deeply grateful.
