The Carroll Hospital Center, Anne Arundel Medical Center and Union Hospital of Cecil County have all taken on the Balanced Menus Challenge to reduce meat by 20% in hospitals.
As part of a national campaign begun by the organization Health Care Without Harm, the program is intended to alleviate the greenhouse gas emissions of the meat industry as well as improve environmental and public health.
Many thanks, Health Care Without Harm and Maryland hospitals for these active measures to lower meat consumption.
May your beneficial results provide motivation toward entirely meat-free diets for the ultimate health of ourselves
and the environment.
