Alcohol license ban proposed in Sydney, Australia.

New South Wales Premier Nathan Rees is sponsoring legislation for a 12-month ban on new alcohol licenses in certain areas of inner Sydney as officials seek to minimize alcohol-related violence and anti-social behavior. Under the plan, no new bars, clubs or pubs will be permitted in Kings Cross, Oxford Street and southern George Street. Lord Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore is in full support of the measure to help maintain the peace of these districts. Premier Rees and Lord Mayor Moore, we laud your advocacy of this moratorium to better the lives of city residents. With Heaven’s grace, may this harmful substance vanish from our lives for the benefit of all humanity.
