A recent report by the Inspector General of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has stated that beef is being sold tainted with poisonous pesticides, veterinary antibiotics and heavy metals, primarily because federal agencies either do not test adequately or have not set limits for such contaminants.
With the audit saying that the adverse health effects of these harmful substances are a growing concern, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service stated that it will work toward corrective actions.
Some US legislators are also calling for laws that would restrict the levels of such toxic materials allowed in meat products. We thank the Inspector General’s office of the US Department of Agriculture and all concerned parties for sounding this alert to safeguard fellow citizens’ well-being.
Wishing that everyone soon joins in adopting the lifesaving, wholesome plant-based fare for optimal health and vitality.
