  • ¼ cup (2 ounces) olive oil (optional)
  • 1¾ cups (14 ounces) water, ice cold (40°F)
  • 1½ teaspoons sugar
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes (Hunts brand works well)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin alive oil
  • 4 teaspoons of organic sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoons of salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons salt
