古巴嚴重水荒

古巴（Cuba）西部久旱不雨，哈瓦那（Havana）的蓄水僅剩下18％，有些民眾每6天才獲得1次自來水，政府加派送水車，希望能緩解嚴重水荒。

減少核子汙染保護環境

為了保護環境，減少核子汙染等有毒物質排入格蘭德河（Rio Grande）中，影響下游民眾與動物的飲水，美國新墨西哥州洛斯阿拉莫斯實驗室（Los Alamos National Laboratory）已完全清除鄰近受污染的土壤，並於7月20日週三公布這個消息。
