氣候變遷使春季提早來臨

加拿大阿爾伯塔大學（University of Alberta）的研究報告登在《生物科學》（Bioscience）的7月號雜誌中裡面提到氣候變遷（climate change）使春季提早來臨，阿爾伯塔省（Alberta province）的原生樹木及野花都提早開花，因而更容易受霜害，影響植物的繁殖。

義大利海岸線萎縮

義大利的環保研究高等學院（Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research）在7月11日公布長達700英哩的海岸線日漸萎縮，原因包括人為濫墾、愈來愈強的冬季風暴、海平面的上升及氣候變遷的侵蝕。
