In good governance news, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) representative commends Cuba’s protection of youth. Mr. José Juan Ortiz Brú lauded Cuba as a model in many ways in its implementation of UNICEF’S Convention on the Rights of the Child, an international human rights treaty. He particularly congratulated the nation on her work to prevent accidents. Cuba will be starting its new Roads and Traffic Code in March of 2011.
Our sincere thankfulness, Cuba, for your efforts to ensure the safety of your respected citizens. May all be graced with security and peace in daily life.
