An American study demonstrates the numerous benefits of living close to a natural environment.
Dr. Ming Frances Kuo, the Director of the Landscape and Human Health Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, found that people tended to be healthier, calmer, and more helpful when living near abundant greenery.
Dr. Kuo also discovered that cognitive functioning, self-discipline, level of physical activity, and mental well-being improved through proximity to nature.
Our thankfulness, Dr. Ming Frances Kuo, for highlighting some of the advantages of availing ourselves of the beauty surrounding us. May we all enjoy the abundant blessings bestowed on us every day by our wondrous natural world.
