Global warming intensifies hurricanes.

According to a new study by US scientist Dr. James Elsner of Florida State University, which analyzed wind speed data over a 25-year period, hurricane severity is affected by climate change. Dr. Elsner found that higher ocean temperatures matched an increase in the highest wind speeds achieved by the storms. His research concluded that warmer air above the ocean surface fuels the storm's destructive winds.

Dr. Elsner and colleagues, we thank you for this clear confirmation of global warming’s effect on the increasingly severe weather patterns our world has seen in recent years. We pray that all humanity joins hands and hearts to save the many lives on our planetary home.
