Brazilian agriculture faces future losses from climate change.

A study conducted by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Center and the University of Campinas projects that national crops such as soybeans, rice, coffee and sugarcane, will be severely affected by the changing weather patterns brought on by global warming. Without mitigating actions, climate change effects will result in billions of dollars of agricultural loss. Researcher Eduardo Delgado Assad of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Center stated that technology must be developed to help plants adapt at the same time that carbon emissions are reduced.

You have our sincere appreciation, Dr. Assad, University of Campinas and Brazil for your assessment of these looming dangers of climate change. We pray that more people will turn to the animal-free vegetarian diet for its immense agricultural and planet-cooling benefits.
