The simple solution: Live and envision a better world.

It is wonderful to know that the way to creating peace on Earth is opened before us, and that we can begin walking it from this very moment. During a videoconference with our Association members in New York, USA, Supreme Master Ching Hai was asked to provide further advice for ordinary people to ensure the halt of climate change.

Videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai
with New York Center, USA – July 10, 2008

Supreme Master Ching Hai : If you continue the way you’re doing, then it will give more hope. If the world population joins in the vegetarian circle, at least two-thirds of them, and green technology and conserving forests and plant trees, etc. or organic farming as well, a frugal lifestyle, every little effort helps along. Also keep envisioning the positive picture of the good world, the world that you want it to be, where everyone lives in peace, in love and safety. A vegan world, a Heavenly abode, where all beings enjoy life without fear of one another, where all are treated with kindness and due respect. Just envision all that.

VOICE: We thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for giving us the most divine vision we could ever have for our future. With more people taking part in the peaceful animal-free lifestyle each day, we look forward to the great possibilities that can come our way!

Please tune in to Supreme Master Television at a later date for the broadcast of this videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai, with multi-language subtitles.

Early snowmelt and warming feedback amplify US drought effects.

A new study by international researchers reveals that snowmelt in the western United States is more than two months early, with surface temperature feedback that is twice as strong as previously estimated. The surface temperature feedback of snow melt accelerates global warming in a manner similar to that of melting Arctic sea ice.

Lead author, Sara A. Rauscher, explains: "When snow melts or does not accumulate in the first place, more solar energy is absorbed by the ground, warming the surface. A feedback loop is created because the warmer ground then makes it more difficult for snow to accumulate and perpetuates the effect." Continuation of early snow melts could mean insufficient availability of water later in the year, leading to higher risk of wildfires as well as drought conditions for agriculture, ecosystems and urban populations.

Thank you, researchers, for this informative study. With Heaven’s blessings, may we all adopt truly sustainable lifestyles to restore the natural balance of our Earth.
