Cambodia and Thailand restore relations of peace. Following four consecutive meetings with his Thai counterpart Abhisit Vejjajiva that began in September this year, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen reported that the two had agreed to resume normalized relations for the first time since 2008. The prime minister made the announcement on Monday, December 6 during a ceremony at the National Institute of Education, as he also affirmed plans to celebrate on December 19 the two countries’ 60 years of harmonious ties.

We rejoice in the resumed brotherhood between your nations! May Buddha bless this new start with ever more peaceful and mutually benefitting relations.
