On Thursday, Democratic Republic of Congo President Joseph Kabila and Rwandan President Paul Kagame held a cordial meeting together, the first between their countries’ heads of state in over ten years.

President Kagame said, “It is a sign of the friendship, stability and very good relations that have developed
between Rwanda and DRC.”

Our respectful salute, Your Excellencies, on your step together toward peace between your beautiful nations.
May friendship among the Congolese and Rwandan people continue to grow in mutual respect and neighborly love.
