China and North Korea discuss solutions of diplomacy. On Thursday, December 9, China’s most senior foreign policy official Dai Bingguo visited Pyongyang, North Korea, where he engaged in talks with North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Il in the hope of helping restore peaceful relations throughout the Korean peninsula. The two discussed issues of mutual concern and ways to further cooperative relations. Following the meeting, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated, “The two sides reached consensus on bilateral relations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula after candid and in-depth talks.”
Our respectful appreciation, Your Excellency Dai Bingguo and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Il for your conciliatory talks. May such encouraging diplomacy continue, bringing a harmonious region of cooperative co-existence for all.
