Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Nigeria.
In mid-April, Ogoja in the southeastern coastal state of Cross River was struck by an unusual windstorm, which claimed three lives and displaced 15,000 people as well as damaging thousands of homes.
Learning of this disaster on April 24, Supreme Master Ching Hai conveyed her love and prayers, offering US$15,000 for relief, an amount that could obtain US$314,000 in items in the United States, based on Nigeria’s cost of living.
Per Supreme Master Ching Hai’s request, we would like to share the following update.
August 25, 2009
Most compassionate Master,
Re: Relief work in Nigeria On August 17,
our relief team from Formosa gave 200 bags (50kg each) of rice for the Ogoja-Cross River State Emergency
Management Agency to deliver to the most in need.
Ogoja’s Council Chairman was touched by Master’s love and thanked God for bringing this timely assistance.
He said Master’s aid was the first of its kind to be sent to the State of Cross River.
One of the villagers said that he had watched the Supreme Master Television on the satellite and was so surprised and moved by Master’s timely help from afar.
We don’t know how to express our deep gratitude for Master’s love to all beings.
Thank you so much, Master, for everything!
All our love, Relief team from Formosa
Supreme Master Ching Hai responded with the following message:
Lotus Hearts,
Thank you for your pure love to the afflicted.,even paying your own travel expenses and diligently put in efforts
to comfort the people in their most needed hour.
God bless you. And I love you
