世界呼吁为气候变化采取强有力的行动
在联合国气候变化会议即将召开之际，数十万人在纽约与世界各地游行

9月21日，数十万纽约市民与来自世界各地的民众为气候变化上街游行，行列中有不少政要名人，此举可能是有史以来规模最大的气候变化示威游行。“人民气候游行”在“联合国气候峰会”的前两天于纽约市展开，旨在呼吁世界各国领导人承诺为全球暖化执行更有强有力的措施。

为地球游行
在纽约，40万人行列于曼哈顿街头参与“人民气候游行”活动。最具标志性的参与者为领导“联合国气候峰会”的联合国秘书长潘基文、前美国副总统高尔（纯素者）、纽约市长白思豪、法国生态部长罗亚尔、法国外交部长洛朗·法比尤斯、联合国气候变化框架公约（UNFCCC）执行秘书克里斯提安娜·菲格雷斯，以及知名灵长类动物学家暨联合国和平使者珍妮·古道尔。

好莱坞演员莱昂纳多·迪卡普里奥、伊凡洁琳·莉莉、爱德华·诺顿、马克鲁·法洛，以及英籍创作型歌手史汀也在游行的行列中。

这次活动的参与者来自社会各种领域，其多元化令人瞩目。游行队伍中有代表原住民团体、知名环境保护学家、科学家；还有大学生、老人与小孩，甚至有从海外特来参与的社会活动者。

联合国秘书长潘基文在游行中表示：“这里是我们的后代要生存下去的星球，我们没有B计划，因为我们没有另一个地球。”

女星伊凡洁琳·莉莉告诉《纽约每日新闻》，她参加游行是为了“我的孩子、我的家人，以及有幸在这个美丽星球上生活的每一个人”。

清海无上师世界会也是这数以百计游行组织中的之一。世界会会员纷纷从纽约、新泽西、波士顿、休斯敦、洛杉矶、夏威夷以及美国其它各州来参加游行，甚至还有从南韩而来的会员。世界会提供6千份纯素三明治与纯素点心，并提供“以纯素饮食因应气候变化”的相关资料，期望提高大众意识，理解造成全球暖化的主因为畜牧产品，而广大群众集体改采纯素饮食将是最实际且立即见效的行动。“世界观察研究所”（The Worldwatch Institute）所发布的一项研究发现，畜牧业是造成全球暖化的最大人为因素。而根据绿色和平组织的报告，畜养动物本身造成80%以上的亚马逊雨林滥砍滥伐，而这也是影响气候变化的主要原因。

全球同步活动
于此同时，伦敦聚集约四万人与纽约同步上街游行，其中包括艺人埃玛·汤普逊与创作歌手彼得·盖布瑞尔。游行队伍中有人打扮成动物，强调在气候变化的各种负面效应中，人类并非唯一受苦的物种，动物也深受其害。

埃玛·汤普逊表示：“地球上的每个人都有力量改变世界，当我们能够团结在一起，我们的力量可移山倒海。现在我们必须集合这股力量来对抗人类有史以来最大的威胁。”

估计有三万人于澳洲墨尔本参加游行，主要的诉求在于应对森林大火以及因全球暖化而日益加剧的干旱。

据报巴黎约有两万五千人参加游行，德国柏林也有一万五千人聚集游行。

此次全球大游行，在150个国家有超过两千五百个活动，总参与人数达六十万人；参与的国家包括意大利、保加利亚、哥伦比亚、巴西、印度、阿富汗、土耳其、埃及、坦桑尼亚、福尔摩沙（台湾）、南韩、菲律宾、巴布新几内亚，以及印度尼西亚等国。

史上最大的气候变化峰会
约120位来自各国的元首与首相参加周二的峰会，这是史上参与的世界领袖最多的气候变化峰会，为即将在12月举办的“联合国气候变化会议”助跑。峰会中的演讲人包括美国总统奥巴马、英国首相卡梅伦、巴西总统罗赛夫。

清海无上师一向呼吁各界保护地球，她曾在2014年5月29日于洛杉矶的一场视讯会议中表示：“我们必须尽可能保护这个星球，否则我们的下一代没地方可去，我们有这个责任。我希望所有的人，包括政府，要尽快执行所有保护星球的计划，时间非常宝贵。”
