Developed since 2001 by over 200 researchers, the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library is a collection of some 200,000 medicines from about 150 ancient Indian books.

The goal of the project is to preserve and protect traditional wisdom. It will also serve as a reference for patent examiners worldwide to review new applications.

A portion of this valuable resource will be made publically available to encourage the development of therapies for diseases which are more common among the disadvantaged sector of society.

Kudos, the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, for your efforts in safeguarding and sharing time-honored knowledge. May your noble efforts benefit many people for years to come.
