More severe climate change effects predicted in Australia.

New satellite data published this week in the journal Science shows that water shortages may be worse than previously forecast in dry regions such as Western Australia.  On the other hand, floods and severe rainfall in already wet areas such as the tropical parts of northern Australia will likely increase. Forecasts for global warming effects based on this new data are more extreme than those predicted in the 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Scientists say that this is because global warming has advanced more quickly than expected since the data for that report was collected.

We are grateful scientists for this message of urgency.  May we all awaken to the severity of climate change and immediately take action, to save both ourselves and our planetary co-inhabitants.
