The first ever Middle East Veg Congress will be held on Monday
and Tuesday, December 6-7 at the Dubai International Exhibition Center,
with the public invited to engage in an interactive exploration of the
plant-based lifestyle.
Organized by the Middle East Veg Group
(MEVEG) and endorsed by the Dubai Health Authority of the United Arab
Emirates, the event is providing two days of seminars, workshops, and
video telecasts with experts from around the world, along with
rejuvenating veg cuisine.
Speakers include expert researchers, health professionals such as the
esteemed Professor BM Hegde of India, a cardiologist who has developed
innovative approaches to wellness; environmentalists,
farmers
and others: like behavioral psychologist and TV personality Zaufyshan
Haseeb who will also be hosting the event, and Nils El Accad, CEO of
Organic Foods & Café, the largest enterprise of its kind in the
region. They will be sharing knowledge on a broad range of topics that
include organic agricultural success, the inner communication of
animals, and the meat-free lifestyle in the Middle East.
In addition, specially invited guest Supreme Master Ching Hai will be
speaking via live videoconference on “Being a Vegan – Environmentally
Sustainable Food Choice,” followed by a question and answer session with
 attendees.
With our appreciation to the Middle East Veg Group, the gracious
government of Dubai and all others assisting with this special event, we
look forward to this eye-opening event to hear more about the myriad
benefits of animal compassion and plant-based fare.
