Alcohol banned in Thailand’s national parks. Natural Resource and Environment Minister Suwit Khunkitti announced that alcohol is being prohibited throughout most of the country’s 110 national parks to promote a more serene environment for both campers and wildlife. The regulation includes the banning of alcohol sales as well as prohibiting visitors from bringing in drinks. Minister Suwit stated, “From now on, all national parks will be free from alcohol forever… We want the parks to be natural retreats.”

A big bravo, Your Excellency and Thailand for this health and nature- protecting measure. May visitors and wildlife alike enjoy the safety and pristine quietude of the nature areas of your Kingdom.
