The European Union Food Safety Authority has issued a statement saying that the majority of chicken sold across the continent is infected with disease-causing bacteria.
Testing revealed that, on average, 76% of slaughterhouse chickens were infected with Campylobacter while 16% were contaminated with Salmonella.
Both cause food poisoning to humans, with extreme cases that can result in death. Our sincere thanks, European Union Food Authority scientists for your work to safeguard the public.
May humans everywhere opt for plant-based food choices that provide a future free of diseases as these.
