In good governance news, India finds alternative means of livelihood for tobacco farmers. Indian Health and Agricultural Ministries are collaborating to provide suitable crops for tobacco farmers and workers to begin to cultivate. Her Excellency Health Secretary Ms. K. Sujatha Rao stated, “We must work towards moving the farmers and farm workers out of the tobacco industry.” Her Excellency added that funds for the endeavor have been transferred to the Agricultural Ministry.
