In good governance news, the Great Lakes Council in New South Wales, Australia bans smoking in outdoor dining areas. The local board made the resolution because of the dangers which second-hand cigarette smoke poses to people’s health. The new regulation is considered an extension of indoor smoking restrictions in eating areas.

Congratulations, Great Lakes Council, on this beneficial policy. May life-enhancing habits be adopted by all for pristine air, radiant health, and a joyous future.

For their life protecting resolution, Supreme Master Ching Hai is honoring the Great Lakes Council in New South Wales with the Shining World Leadership Award.
