Once an adamant meat eater, film star Vivek Oberoi of India stated that he has now become completely vegetarian, abstaining from eggs as well.

He said that while filming the upcoming movie “Kurbaan” with award-winning vegetarian co-star Kareena Kapoor, he had begun eating more plant-based foods.

The complete shift occurred when he received an email and watched a video of slaughterhouse operations.
He wrote, “… Somewhere deep in my heart, I always knew that once I faced the truth, I (would) never be the same again. Paul McCartney once famously said, ‘If slaughter houses had windows, the world would turn vegetarian.’”

Since his switch to a non-meat diet, Vivek’s friends have said that he is much calmer, more focused and is more patient. We send our sincere congratulations, Vivek Oberoi, on your switch to the healthy, delicious and environmentally-friendly veg fare.

Heaven bless your star to shine ever more brightly with such caring choices that benefit humans and animals alike.
