Soy may ease sleep problems in older women - 19 Oct 2010

In health news, Brazilian researchers find that soy isoflavones may help improve the sleep patterns of older women. Dr. Helena Hachul of the Universidade Federal de Sao Paolo and colleagues conducted a study in which 80 milligrams of the soy-based supplement were given to post menopausal women for four months. More than 50% of the group reported that they were able to sleep better at night by the end of that time.

Our thankfulness, Dr. Helena Hachul and co-researchers, for highlighting one of the benefits of soy products. May we continue to discover more of the many ways we are enhanced by Nature’s abundant bounty.
