Los Angeles implements pet sterilization ordinance. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, signed an ordinance requiring dogs and cats to be sterilized by the time they are 4 months of age. The new law will take effect later this year. A similar bill is being considered on the state level in California and was recently featured on Supreme Master Television. Holding a kitten at a City Hall news conference, Councilman Tony Cardenas stated, “We will, sooner rather than later, become a no-kill city and this is the greatest step in that direction.”

Kudos, Los Angeles, for leading the way with this law that will encourage loving respect for the animals in our lives. We send our thankfulness that the City of Angels truly does watch over and protect all life.
