British founding Beatles member and animal welfare advocate Sir Paul McCartney recently COmposed a letter to the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), appealing for them to stop the cruel space radiation testing on monkeys.

Sir Paul wrote, "I believe NASA has the ingenuity to investigate the health effects of space travel without COnfining and experimenting on animals as was done in the old days.

It would be terribly disappointing if in our zeal to explore new frontiers and to learn about the fascinating universe where we live, we began to regress in our treatment of the animals with whom we share this planet."

The Concern of Sir Paul is shared by a number of government leaders such as Governor Bill Richardson of New MexiCO, USA as well as organizations like People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Physicians COmmittee for Responsible Medicine, who have similarly urged for a halt to the testing.

We join in COncern as we offer our sincere thanks, Sir Paul McCartney, for your voice on behalf of our cherished animal CO-inhabitants. May organizations throughout the world awaken to our noble and true nature by choosing to treat all beings with dignity and respect.
