In a study by US researchers at the University of California, published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal PLoS One, the eating habits of 1,000 men were evaluated.

Half in the study were healthy, while 470 had already been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. In the evaluation, the scientists found that consuming well-done ground beef or other red meat more than doubled the risk of developing aggressive prostate cancer.

Grilling is also known to be a further hazard, as cooking meat at high temperatures over open flame causes chemicals to form that have been shownto be carcinogenic.

Our appreciation, researchers, for your findings that highlight these harmful health risks of meat consumption. May we all swiftly adopt the safe and humane plant-based fare for our own vibrant well-being and that of cherished loved ones.
