Fiji travel destination to be soon submerged.

At a Pacific Climate Change Roundtable held for media members in Samoa, scientist and Professor Patrick Nunn of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), reported that climate change is expected to put the city of Nadi underwater by 2027. Professor Nunn encouraged the media to raise awareness about the problems now faced by coastal regions due to global warming.

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef seabirds declining due to climate change.

A new report authored by Dr. Brad Congdon and other seabird experts highlights the drastic impacts of conditions such as warmer water and more extreme weather, which are making it difficult for the seabirds to incubate and raise their young. Commissioned by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the Queensland Environment Protection Agency, the report goes on to state its concern over the continued effect of these global warming conditions, which are jeopardizing the lives of between 1.3 and 1.7 million seabirds that make their home in the Great Barrier Reef area.
