Fisheries are collapsing throughout the world
Overfishing threatens ocean survival. A report by the US-based research and education organization World Policy Institute stated that expanded fishing practices has created a perilous situation for ocean life. A 2003 study showed that 90 percent of the large fish in the oceans had disappeared in the previous 50 years, and the World Policy Institute is now calling for the monies spent on subsidies to the fishing industries to instead be used to create large marine reserves.

Because they are there for some reason. They are there for maybe oxidizing the ocean, give life to some other kind of species or cleaning the environment. Whatever the species that God has left on the planet, they have work to do. Just like humans, we have work to do. Animals, they have work to do. 21 new species in danger of extinction: UN convention
Additional species found to be at risk of extinction. At the United Nations Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, 21 new species were identified as being threatened by extinction. The list includes the cheetah, three dolphin families, an Egyptian vulture, and two families of Mako sharks.
The conference also pledged to reduce noise pollution in the oceans from vessels that disrupt the sound communication of marine mammals. We pray that the kind hearts of humanity will come to the aid these precious endangered animals. May we all live in care and consideration to protect the vast diversity that enlivens our shared planet.
Accelerated Melting Of Continental Icepacks Is Major Reason For Rise In Sea Level Between 2003 And 2008
Melting icepacks causing sea level rise. French researchers have concluded from analysis of data that the increased rate of melting continental icepacks has played a major role in the rising sea levels between 2003 and 2008. The team, from the Laboratory for Study of Space Geophysics and Oceanography at the University of Toulouse in France, have found that melting glacial masses account for 80% of the average sea level rise.

EU to boost energy efficiency, use of renewable energy in low-income households
Europe to help households go green. A European Commission proposal has suggested the co-financing of programs for thermal window glazing, wall insulation and solar panel installation to boost energy efficiency and sustainability in low-income homes. With up to 40 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union being attributed to building operations, this plan is seen as a win-win proposal to address climate change and help improve people’s lives. European Commission, we express our gratefulness for these green initiatives. With Heaven’s grace, may measures such as these help facilitate the enjoyment of our beautiful world for many generations to come.
