British founding Beatles member and animal welfare advocate Sir Paul McCartney recently ＣＯmposed a letter to the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (ＮＡＳＡ), appealing for them to stop the cruel space radiation testing on monkeys.

Sir Paul wrote, "I believe ＮＡＳＡ has the ingenuity to investigate the health effects of space travel without ＣＯnfining and experimenting on animals as was done in the old days.

It would be terribly disappointing if in our zeal to explore new frontiers and to learn about the fascinating universe where we live, we began to regress in our treatment of the animals with whom we share this planet."

The Ｃoncern of Sir Paul is shared by a number of government leaders such as Governor Bill Richardson of New MexiＣＯ, USA as well as organizations like People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (ＰＥＴＡ) and Physicians ＣＯmmittee for Responsible Medicine, who have similarly urged for a halt to the testing.
