Jordanian king and European leaders support efforts for interfaith understanding. Addressing the European People’s Party (EPP) summit in Brussels, Belgium on Thursday, December 16, His Majesty Abdullah II issued a call to promote interfaith dialogue. He emphasized the importance of spreading the values shared by the teachings of the Jewish, Muslim and Christian faiths, such as “Love of God,” and “Love Thy Neighbor,” to foster greater acceptance and peace. Following their meeting, the EPP, which includes 74 parties from 39 different countries, issued a joint statement supporting greater interfaith dialogue.

We thank Your Majesty and Your Excellencies, for your initiatives toward a world of respect and brotherly love. May the day come soon that such values are shared worldwide, so that all may walk together in peace.
