Psychology doctoral student Mr. Andrew Littlefield and colleagues from the University of Missouri found that individuals aged 18-25 who stopped smoking showed a decline in the tendency to act impulsively.

Furthermore, anxiety and non-positive feelings also lessened in the former smokers. This study is expected to contribute to continuing research on the connection between personality traits and substance abuse.

Our many thanks, Mr. Andrew Littlefield and colleagues, for highlighting some of the benefits of the cessation of this dangerous habit. May all people choose life-affirming ways which enhance the well-being of body, mind, and spirit.
