Ms. Zeina Daccache organized a 15-month drama therapy project at Lebanon’s largest detention center in Roumieh, a village near Beirut. It involved directing 45 of the men in a play, which was presented in front of an audience including government ministers of the country in 2008.
A documentary about Ms. Daccache’s work received a variety of international awards. Ms. Daccache is currently working on a second play, which will be performed in May and June 2011.
One of those participating in the first play, 29-year-old Josef, said, “This project has given me back my confidence and has shown me that I can be successful in other ways.”
Our warm thankfulness, Ms. Zeina Daccache, for your caring efforts. May your creative offerings help many beautiful children of God.
