In Herat city, western Afghanistan, a free soya milk distribution center funded by a Canadian donor has helped ensure that children and mothers receive adequate nutrition, particularly sufficient protein. According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), currently high infant and maternal mortality rates in Afghanistan are the result of severe malnutrition and preventable diseases. As a rich source of protein and amino acids necessary for the human body, medical experts recommend soya bean products for pregnant and nursing mothers.

We are deeply grateful to the Canadian donor and Afghanistan for your loving aid in providing this nourishment to the warm-hearted mothers and children of Afghanistan. May wholesome plant-based foods such as soya bean products become part of people’s daily life for a healthier nation and planet.
