The country’s Public Health Agency (PHA) has launched a campaign to raise awareness in women about the link between alcohol consumption and breast cancer, thus offering motivation to reduce the damaging habit of drinking. International research has clearly shown that alcohol consumption leads to increased risk of breast cancer, with higher amounts correlated with higher incidence. Dr. Carolyn Harper, PHA Director of Public Health said that the campaign thus hopes to convey the message that reducing alcohol will reduce the corresponding risk of breast cancer.

Thank you Dr. Harper, Public Health Agency and Northern Ireland for this constructive campaign to safeguard women’s health. May more and more be protected through the wise choice of alcohol-free living.
