Experts say that Lake Victoria, which forms part of the border for Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, is being jeopardized due to over-fishing, pollutants and climate change. Waste as well as agricultural and industrial effluents all are routinely discharged into the lake, which has also suffered a loss in water level as a result of global warming effects.
The pollution has also led to the growth of toxic green algae on the surface of the lake, which can affect human health.
We appreciate this research and pray for swift measures to protect Lake Victoria, for the benefit of humans and animals alike.
