Scientific Group Releases New Statement on Climate Change  

AGU issues statement on global warming. The world’s largest society of Earth and space scientists, the American Geophysical Union (AGU), has released a statement that identifies human activity as the unequivocal cause of global warming. Bette Otto-Bliesner of the National Center for Atmospheric Research stated, “The facts are well-established now that the Earth's climate is warming, and that these climate changes are “best explained…by human activity during the 20th century.
 
The AGU scientists have called for a 50% reduction of green house gas emissions by the end of the century to avoid further natural disasters.
