Dr. Boaz Almog and Dr. Mishael Azoulay, in collaboration with Dr. Guy Deutscher, all of Tel Aviv University, have developed a superconducting wire that can carry approximately 40 times more electricity than a copper wire of the same size.

The cables can potentially be used to transfer sustainably generated sun and wind energy over long distances. They can also be utilized to store energy and support devices which improve grid stability.

What an exciting development, Dr. Boaz Almog, Dr. Mishael Azoulay, and Dr. Guy Deutscher. May we see more such fantastic innovations for a greener and cleaner planet.
