수요일 세계 은행이 발표한 보고서에 의하면 식량과 연료의 높은 가격으로 전세계 ９억 ６천 ７백만 인구가 영양 부족이 될 것으로 보이며 이는 지금까지 최대 숫자라고 합니다. 유엔 식량농업기구는 세계 기아 인구가 작년에 ９억２천３백만으로 증가했다고 최근 말했습니다. 이 최근 발표는 정기적으로 충분한 음식을 섭취하지 못하는 인구가 ４천４백만 더 증가했음을 보여줍니다.

전 세계 국가들이 어려운 형제자매를 돕기 위해 협력하여 전 세계 시민들의 풍부한 영양 섭취를 위해 채식과 같은 지구를 살리는 자비로운 실천을 장려하는데 힘쓰길 기도합니다.

Number of malnourished to increase in 2008.

 In a report released on Wednesday by the World Bank, high food and fuel prices are expected to lead to 967 million people being undernourished in the world, which would be the highest number ever. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) recently stated that the world’s hungry had risen to 923 million in 2007. This latest announcement would represent an increase of another 44 million people who regularly do not have enough food.

We pray that nations around the globe join hands to aid brethren in need as we strive to adopt gentler Earth-saving practices such as the plant-based diet for the abundant nourishment of all world citizens.
