태국 방콕에서 칭하이 무상사와 화상회의가 있었습니다.

바쁜 일정에도 칭하이 무상사는 시간을 내어 협회원들과 지구 보호와 관련해 말씀을 나누셨습니다. 태국 협회원들은 현재 활동에서부터 본국에 미치는 지구온난화의 영향에 이르기까지 다양한 문제들을 칭하이 무상사와 의논했습니다. 다음은 지난 ７월 ２４일 방콕센터에서 열린 회상회의 중 일부입니다.

협회원: 태국에 재난이 발생한다는 예언을 들었습니다. 이 예언이 정말 발생하는 지 알고 싶습니다. 칭하이 무상사: 태국 국민이 선행을 하고 살생의 영향을 줄이면 피할 수 있습니다. 그게 아니면，글쎄요 요즘 세계 각지에서 많은 재난이 발생하고 전보다 더 자주 더 치명적으로 일어나고 있습니다. 살생의 부정적인 인과응보의 힘이 전보다 더 무르익었기 때문입니다. 세계 곳곳에 많은 고통이 있습니다 그래서 내가 열심히 일하고 여러분에게 살생과 육식이 모든 고통의 원인임을 알리는 일에 동참해 달라고 하는 거죠. 육식을 안 하면 아무도 고기 제공을 위해 살생하지 않을 겁니다. 사람들이 마음을 돌려 자비심을 갖고 진정한 인간으로서 사랑의 마음으로 채식을 하면 모든 재난이 최소화될 것이며 나아가 모든 것이 정화될 것입니다. 인간은 원래 자비심과 사랑이 많기 때문이지요. 동물을 포함한 모든 생명에 대한 사랑과 자비심 평화가 우리들이 살아가야 할 방식입니다.

Bangkok, Thailand holds videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai.

 Despite her busy schedule, Supreme Master Ching Hai has continued to make time to address our Association members’ concerns related to protecting our planet. Our Thai Association members consulted with Supreme Master Ching Hai on matters ranging from their current activities to the impact of global warming in their nation. Following is an excerpt from the videoconference that took place on July 24, 2008 with the Bangkok Center.

Our Association member (F): I heard someone predict that there will be disasters happening in regions of Thailand.  I would like to know if these predictions are really going to happen.

Supreme Master Ching Hai: Well, if Thai people are doing good deeds and minimize the effect of killing, then you can avoid it. If not, I don’t know. Right now, there are many disasters happening around the world, and more frequently than ever before, and even more deadly. It is because the force of the negative retribution of the killing karmic consequences is more ripe than before.  So we are suffering a lot around the world.

That’s why I am working very hard and also asking you to join me in the effort of informing people that the cause of all our suffering is from killing, from eating meat. Because if we don’t eat meat, nobody will kill for us or to offer us meat. So the vegetarian diet will minimize all the disaster, and even clear it all out, if people just turn their heart around, be compassionate, be loving like a real human being. Because the humans are inherently very compassionate and loving. The way we should live our life is with love, compassion and peace, with all beings, including animals.

VOICE: We thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for alleviating our concerns by showing us how to best protect ourselves in this time of planetary upheaval. May we all choose the way to harmony with all fellow beings in this world, thus leading to a more stable future for the entire Earth.

호주 정부는 기후 변화가 대중 건강에 미치는 영향을 예보합니다.

태즈메이니아 보건국장 로스코 테일러는 지구 온난화와 관련된 병에 걸린 사람들을 치료하는 건 국가 총 노령 인구를 치료하는 것보다 의료 자원에 더 많은 비용이 든다고 말했습니다. 기후변화의 영향을 언급하면서 테일러 씨는 말합니다. 『그들은 수계에서 식량 공급에까지 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. 또한 모기 감염 질병과 음식 감염 질병이 모두 기후 변화로 더 악화될 수 있습니다.』 모든 시민들의 건강과 생존을 위해 온실가스를 더 많이 줄여야 할 긴급한 필요성을 말씀해주신 테일러 씨와 테즈메이니아에 큰 감사 드립니다. 

Australian state forecasts climate change impact on public health.

Tasmania’s Public Health Director Roscoe Taylor stated that treating people for global warming-related disorders could cost more in medical resources than treating the state’s entire aging population. Referring to climate change impacts, Mr. Taylor said, “They can range from effects in our water systems through to the food supply. Also mosquito-borne diseases [and] food-borne illnesses could all be aggravated by climate change.”

Many thanks, Mr. Taylor and Tasmania, for addressing the urgent need to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions for the health and survival of all citizens.

인도 지질조사국 (ＧＳＩ)에서 지구 온난화로 인한 지질 변화를 말합니다.

인도 발라소르에서 최근 갑자기 발생한 땅의 균열로 주민들이 집에서 피신한 후 ＧＳＩ 전문가들이 점검한 결과 기후변화의 영향이라고 합니다. 푸르나 찬드라 다스 선임 지질학자는 대양의 변화는 근처 강의 수로에 영향을 미쳐 저류가 발생해 지질이 변화하게 된다고 말했습니다. 자연재해 원인을 밝히기 위해 헌신적으로 연구하는 과학자들께 감사드립니다. 우리 사회가 지구 균형 회복을 위한 신속한 조치의 필요성을 자각하길 바랍니다.

Geological Survey of India (GSI) says land changes are due to global warming.

 After recent land splits suddenly appeared in Balasore, India, causing the evacuation of people from their homes, GSI experts inspected and now say that the large cracks in the land are the result of climate change. Senior geologist Purna Chandra Das said that ocean changes have affected a nearby river’s course, with a resulting undercurrent likely causing the land to shift.

We are grateful, scientists, for your dedicated research in helping to find out more about the causes of natural disasters. May our society be awakened to the need to act quickly in restoring the balance of our Earth.
