불가리아 태양력 발전소가 가동됩니다.

불가리아 최초이자 동유럽 최대의 이 태양력 발전소는 연간 １２５０ 메가와트시를 생산할 것으로 기대됩니다. ５백만 불이 투자된 이 발전소는 독일의 ＩＢＣ솔라 ＡＧ사의 기술적 도움을 받아 불가리아의 썬 서비스 사가 설계 및 건립했습니다.

More Than 900 Mayors Join Climate Protection Agreement

Nine hundred US mayors sign climate change agreement. With their cities representing some 81 million Americans, the 900 signatories of the United States Conference of Mayors have now committed to meeting or besting the Kyoto Protocol emissions standards. The group is also seeking a partnership with the federal government for a national climate policy. A green hats off, United States mayors, for your noble leadership. The eco machine that can magic water out of thin air

Innovative machine draws water from the air. Canadian company, Element Four, has invented the WaterMill, a device that condenses the air’s moisture and filters it into drinking water. This “green machine” attaches to any wall and works in areas with at least 30% relative humidity levels, regulating output to coincide with times of day such as dawn when humidity is greatest. Kudos, all Element Four personnel, for your creative clean water producing innovation. We look forward to seeing the widespread benefit of green advancements such as these.
 
First Solar Power Plant Opens Doors in Bulgaria

Bulgaria launches solar power plant. The nation’s first solar electric power plant and the largest of its kind in all of eastern Europe is expected to produce 1250 megawatt-hours per year. The US$5 million project was designed and constructed by the nation’s Sun Service company with technical assistance from Germany’s IBC Solar AG. Bravo Bulgaria for this significant eco-friendly measure! Poll: World wants green action, despite costs

Global citizens seek more sustainable energy sources. A poll conducted by the University of Maryland, USA in 21 countries worldwide found that 77 percent of the people surveyed wanted their governments to invest more in solar and wind power. Nearly two-thirds also said they would pay higher prices for goods if the money went toward businesses using energy more sparingly. What encouraging news! We wish all governments a smooth transition to sustainable practices, for the highest service to citizens and our ecosphere.
