유기 농법이 환경 개선뿐 아니라 생산량도 늘립니다.

미국에 소재한 로데일 연구소의 유기농 녹색 혁명이란 최근 보고서에선 ２４개 아프리카 국가에서의 유기농법 및 친환경 농법이 백 퍼센트 이상의 농작물 생산량 향상을 가져왔다고 한 최근 유엔환경계획의 보고서를 비롯해 여러 연구가 인용됐습니다. ５７개국의 ２８６개 유기 농장을 연구한 또 다른 작년 보고서에 의하면 생산량의 ７９％가 향상했습니다. 생산량 향상 외에 유기 농법은 토양에 이롭고 수로를 정화하며 탄소를 격리하고 오염을 감소합니다. 유기농법의 지속가능한 이로움을 강조한 로데일 연구소와 모든 유기농 생산자들게 갈채를 보냅니다. 이런 친생태적 방법을 통해 세상이 풍요롭게 번영하길 빕니다.

작년 １２월 １７일 아일랜드 인디펜더트지 안드레아 보니 기자와의 인터뷰에서 칭하이 무상사는 유기농법의 이로움을 다음처럼 설명하셨습니다.

칭하이 무상사: 유기농 식품과 제품은 화학물질을 제한하거나 전혀 사용하지 않는 엄격한 친환경 방법에 따라 생산되고 처리됩니다. 유기농 식품은 또한 지엠-프리로 유전자 조작 제품을 사용하지 않습니다. 유기농법은 물과 토양, 공기를 오염시키는 독성 농업 유거수와 오염물을 줄입니다. 그래서 유기농법은 농부들과 지역사회, 농부들과 지역사회, 야생동물에게 더 이롭지요. 이제 환경보호국은 제초제의 ６０％, 곰팡이 제거제의 ９０％, 모든 살충제의 ３０％를 잠정적인 발암물질로 여기며 인간과 동물의 암을 유발한다고 생각합니다. 유기농법은 우리가 먹고 마시는 음식과 음료에서 해로운 화학물질과 살충제를 없앱니다. 그리고 쉽고 간편하고 비용과 물 효율적이며 생태학과 경제적으로 이롭습니다. 

알버트 왕자가 남극의 기후변화를 평가합니다.

나이지리아가 폐기물 처리회사를 건립합니다.

연방정부와 민간 투자자들과 협력하여 카두나 주는 퇴비화와 폐기물 재활용을 위해 ２천만 불 상당의 시설을 설립하고 있습니다. 이 프로젝트는 실직 상태인 수백만의 현지 청년과 졸업생들에 이로움을 줄 것으로 보입니다. 친환경 수단을 통해 삶을 향상하는 카두나 주정부와 나이지리아에 박수 보냅니다. 모든 친환경 정책이 생태계에 균형을 가져다 주길 바랍니다.

조지 부시 미 대통령은 태평양 총 ５０만 ５천 평방 킬로미터 지역에 세 개의 국립해양보호구역을 설립 중입니다. 이 보호구역은 희귀 어종과 조류 산호초와 마리아나 섬 북부 해저의 활화산, 미국 사모아에 있는 로즈 아톨, 태평양의 외딴섬 군도를 보존하는데 확실한 도움이 될 것입니다. 해양생물 보존을 돕는 부시 대통령의 고귀한 노력에 감사를 표합니다. 아름다운 지구의 모든 생명이 확실히 지속되도록 보호자로서 우리의 역할을 다합시다. 

Organic farming improves environment while increasing crops.

  A new review paper released by the US-based Rodale Institute, “The Organic Green Revolution,” cites several studies, including a recent United Nations Environment Program report that found organic or near-organic practices in 24 African countries improved crop yield by over 100 percent.

Another 2008 study of 286 organic farms in 57 countries saw an average 79 percent increase in productivity. Besides yielding more abundant crops, organic practices are known to benefit soil, clean waterways, sequester carbon and reduce pollution. A green thumbs up, Rodale Institute and all organic growers, for highlighting the sustainable benefits of organic farming methods. May our world flourish in abundant sustenance through such ecologically sound practices.

Monaco's Prince Albert heads to Antarctica

Prince Albert evaluates climate change in Antarctica. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco has embarked on a month-long expedition to see first-hand the effects of global warming at the South Pole. His visit will include 26 scientific outposts and meetings with experts on climate change from 18 countries. Prince Albert, who has long-prioritized environmental issues, has already made a similar trip to the Arctic and has also signed the Antarctica Treaty on behalf of the Principality of Monaco. Nigeria: Govt to Build New Waste Recycling Plant

Nigeria launches a waste recycling company. In cooperation with the federal government and private investors, Kaduna state is establishing a US$20 million facility for composting as well as material recycling. The project is also expected to benefit hundreds of unemployed graduates and young residents of the state. Bush to establish world's largest marine protection area

World’s largest marine protection area announced. US President George W. Bush is establishing three marine national monuments in the Pacific Ocean with a total area of 505,000 square kilometers. These protected zones will help ensure the preservation of rare fish and bird species, coral reefs and underwater active volcanoes in the northern Mariana Islands, the Rose Atoll located in American Samoa and a chain of remote islands in the Central Pacific.
