As announced by Defence Minister Toshimi Kitazawa on Tuesday, the country’s refueling mission will end in January 2010. The Japanese government is suggesting alternative support for Afghans in such areas as vocational training to help them transition to fruitful livelihoods.

Our respectful thanks, Your Excellency and Japan for your commitment to help Afghanistan toward peace and security. Wishing the Afghan people productive lives of fulfillment, harmony and prosperity.
