In animal news, a kiss from a dog saves a New Zealand woman’s life. Ms. Shirley Mulvihill of Southland was asleep when her house caught fire. Fortunately, her brave eight-month-old Staffordshire dog, Fiji, awoke Ms. Mulvihill by licking her face to warn her. Ms. Mulvihill was able to escape safely with Fiji. She said, “My house is gone, but we are both alive, thanks to Fiji.”

God bless you, heroic Fiji, for your courageous act in protecting your caregiver. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your home, Ms. Shirley Mulvihill. We pray that you and Fiji will soon be sharing many joyous times together in a new and comfortable residence.

Supreme Master Ching Hai is honoring brave Fiji with the Shining World Hero Award, and offering US$1,000 for both Fiji and Ms. Shirley Mulvihill to help start anew with hugs and all love.
