Cholesterol levels linked to dementia.

A study conducted by US healthcare organization Kaiser Permanente found that those with cholesterol count of 240 or more had a 66 percent increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. The 40 year study of nearly 10,000 people began tracking participants when they were 40 to 45 years of age. Renowned US-based Mayo Clinic is thus suggesting a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, olive oil, nuts, and fiber to lower cholesterol, a substance that is only found in animal products.

Our thanks Kaiser Permanente and all researchers involved for this important information about yet another danger of consuming animal-based foods. Let us all safeguard our health and that of the Earth with an animal-free vegan diet.
