Chinese Hot Pot Reunion Pudding

Chinese Hot Pot
1 pot of filtered water
Fruit (i.e. apple, pear, zucchini, cucumber, squash)
2 tablespoons of mushroom seasoning
1 tablespoon of salt
2 tablespoons of soya sauce
Apple juice or fruit sugar
or jam (optional)
Coriander powder
Five perfume seasoning
Ground black pepper
Green beans
Green pepper
Yellow pepper
Snow peas
Baby corn
Vermicelli Noodles (transparent)

Reunion Pudding
Filtered water
Fruit sugar
400 grams glutinous rice flour
Red bean paste
Pinch of salt
Vanilla or other flavoring (optional)
Sesame powder

Chinese Hot Pot

  1. Boil the vermicelli noodle previously for a few minutes until it’s softened. Or just leave it uncooked on the table and later it can be cooked together with the other vegetables.
  2. Arrange the hot pot and all the vegetables on the table.
  3. To prepare the broth, put some of the fruits into the pot with boiling water.
  4. Add in some mushroom seasoning, about a couple of tablespoons.
  5. Add in one tablespoons of salt and some soya sauce.
  6. Put some unsweetened apple juice, if any.
  7. Add in the five perfume powder for a few dashes.
  8. Add in the coriander powder and the grounded black pepper.
  9. Meanwhile, cut the zucchini into small cubes, and also the tomatoes and the eggplant.
  10. Put in the vegetables into the pot and let the broth cook for a while so that all the vegetables and the fruits will offer their sweetness into the broth.
  11. Lower the heater to avoid overboiling.
  12. Cook the broth for about 10 minutes. Then it’s done.
  13. The beans can be added into the broth. This will add sweet taste to the broth.
  14. Cut the other vegetables into pieces and just put everything into the broth.
  15. Let the broth simmer and then it is ready.
  16. For serving, put some noodle in a bowl, pour the soup. Put on top some grounded sesame for better taste.
  17. Dip in another vegetable for a fer seconds, and it’s eat it right away.
  18. If you like sauce, put some hot sauce or soya sauce or chili sauce.
Reunion Pudding
  1. Boil some water and put in the sweetening sugar according to taste.
  2. While the sugar is dissolved and water is boiling, prepare the flour. Take 400 grams of glutinous rice (sticky rice flour) and put a little bit of water in it to form a dough.
  3. Roll the dough, form it into small balls.
  4. Flatten the ball a little bit and put inside the hole the ready to use red paste.
  5. Pocket the red bean paste and make sure nothing comes out. Do it to all the balls.
  6. If there is no red bean paste just use other beans or just make it plain. It will be also delicious.
  7. Make big ball, medium ball, and small balls.
  8. Put them in the boiling water with sugar and boil it until it’s cooked. It takes about 10 minutes. Put in the bigg ball first, and then the medium ball, and lastly the small ball.
  9. Add in some vanilla or other flavour as preference.
  10. Add a pinch of salt into the water to deepen the taste of the sweetness.
  11. When the balls cook, they will float on top
  12. Take them out from the water, and serve.
