Create a shield of compassion around the Earth. Videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai SOS Stop Global Warming Seminar Yaowarin Srichainan – Computer Engineer, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Thailand (F): To what extent would Thailand be affected by global warming and what would be the worst that we could all expect? Supreme Master Ching Hai : We should not emphasize the worst effect of global warming. We should not expect the disaster to come, but we should begin to focus on how to prevent this. We have to turn to the opposite direction, which is in the best interest of Thai people and the world. That is, again, to live a compassionate lifestyle, to be a vegetarian. Better even, vegan, meaning no animal product whatsoever, so that the benevolent atmosphere will envelop our planet, and of course Thailand, with protection and blessing from Heaven, because we create a shield around us, around our planet, by a very compassionate, powerful, benevolent atmosphere. That is the only protection that is safe and everlasting.
VOICE: Following the seminar, participants reflected on their shared sense of personal empowerment to make a difference. Veerayut Jitsai - Seminar participant (M): During this time global warming has become very critical. If we want to make it better we can change to a vegetarian diet. Seminar participant (F) : As a responsible citizen, we should all be concerned about it because this affects us, affects our well-being, but we are all inter-connected. Anything that can help reduce this state of emergency in our planet, then I believe it is a good thing. I am myself working to eat less and less meat. VOICE: We would like to thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for the deep concern, wisdom and love she shares to ensure a future for our planet. May we all help to create this shield of love and mercy through expressing compassion in our daily actions, starting with our choice of meals. Please tune in at a future date to Words of Wisdom for the full conference with multi-language subtitles here on Supreme Master Television. Many thanks, Dr. Colwell and colleagues, for this important study on the delicate state of our ecosystems. We pray that all people preserve the diversity of flora and fauna for the balance of our shared biosphere. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2008-10/10/content_10173920.htm http://www.advance.uconn.edu/2008/081014/08101401.htm http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hgRUgi0kLIvuVA2reYgm2NsLNwFw http://www.newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/globa-warming-affects-warm-weather-68463.aspx Wow, what an inspiring response to adversity, Long Lama residents! May we be motivated by your enlivening example toward similar green steps to provide for ourselves and the planet. Supreme Master Ching Hai: I have another idea; that is for people who have a yard, instead of growing grass or something else, grow vegetables. You can grow enough for yourselves or as a supplement. This way, you can have good vegetarian food, save money, time and the energy used on transportation. http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2008/10/13/southneast/2186386&sec=southneast Australia faces its hottest drought.
