Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Âu Lạc (Vietnam).
No sooner had the rainy season begun in late May than torrential rains and cyclones descended, destroying dozens of houses in southern Đồng Nai Province.
Roofs were ripped off and belongings washed away in currents, with many fruit and rubber trees that were damaged or destroyed.

Vice President of the Red Cross, Xuân Đường (F): I have lived over here a few decades, but have never seen such thing. I was terrified. Besides rain and tornadoes, I could not see anything. In less than 15 minutes, disaster befell us. Over here, we are lucky that that nobody died.

President of the Red Cross, Xuân Đường (M): After the recent cyclone, there were a number of damages, 4 houses were damaged 100%, most of the rest about 70-80%.

Relief recipient (M): My house totally collapsed. Almost all the equipment, the furniture in the house was totally destroyed.

VOICE: Per her request to go and offer help, our local Aulacese (Vietnamese) Association members immediately traveled to the storm-stricken region. Assessing the situation with the local government’s cooperation, they went to the most affected villages of Xuân Đường and Bảo Bình to deliver
emergency supplies and cash assistance.

Items included rice, vegan noodles and other food items, which were distributed along with the monetary gifts according to need, ranging from US$52 to US$210 per family.

Relief recipient (M): Thank you, Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association.

President of the Red Cross, Xuân Đường (M): The International Charitable Association of Supreme Master Ching Hai, I sincerely thank you!
